What is Startup Shell?
Startup Shell is a student-run, nonprofit startup incubator located at the University of Maryland. Founded in 2012 by two passionate entreprenurial students inside of an storage closet, to date Startup Shell has supported over 300 student ventures and provides a network containing over $1 billion in venture value. Located at the heart of the University of Maryland campus in the E.A. Fernandez IDEA Factory, Startup Shell provides students with a 24/7 coworking space and over $100,000 in digital and physical resources to found their startups.

Finding Startup Shell
Enter the double doors at ground level across from the entrance to Jeong H. Kim Engineering Building. Once inside, Startup Shell is immediately to your left.
